As is the case with every website or service where you need a user name and password, you should change the password you use to login to TeamUp every now and then. These instructions show how you can change your password if you have registered to TeamUp using the e-mail sign-up.
NOTE! If you have registered to TeamUp using your Facebook credentials, you cannot have (and hence cannot change) a password for TeamUp. This is because from the point of view of our system you "do not have" a password, because our login procedure recognizes you based on the information of your Facebook account. Currently it is not possible to change the way of logging in to TeamUp from Facebook credentials to e-mail-and-password combination.
You can change your password from your profile settings when you're logged in to TeamUp. Click on your profile picture, located on the top right of the page, to open a dropdown menu where selecting Account management takes you to your profile settings. (Cf. the picture on the right.)
When you access the Account Management page, it first loads the Profiles tab, which shows – as illustrated by the above screenshot – your profile or a list of all profiles that are linked to your user name (for instance if you are an administrator for another profile). Now click on the General tab.
When you have opened the General tab, you can see three text fields where you can set yourself a a new password. Just type in your old password to the topmost one and then enter in the new password twice. Our system will check and let you know if the text you are typing in the Confirm new password field doesn't match the password you have given in the New password field.
Remember that to maximize your online security it's wise to use passwords that contain both upper and lower case letters, special characters and/or numbers. The more complicated, the better – as long as you can remember the password yourself! Finally, click on the Change password button, and your new password is set!
